It works well as a barrier and is easy to put together. It is made quite well. At first very stiff to fold down, and if a heavy strong weight is put against it, it tends to slide out from under the mattress a bit
It needs something to hold the rail in place. I have seen other products with a bands of material attached to large discs that reach across to the other side of the bed to hold the rail in place. Otherwise I think the quality of the rail is very good.
